Winter - What can you photograph?

What can you
Photograph?

Winter period lasts from 1st November to 10th March

From three different photo sheds some of the most charismatic birds of Europe can be observed; we have two photo sheds for the Golden eagle and one for the Nothern goshawk. In winter, when the weather is ok, it is even possible to do boat trips to get images of the sea eagle. The Common eider (somateria mollissima) is easy to approach. Elks can be photographed, and close to a river in the neighbourhood there is a numerous population of Dipper.

At Namsskogan Wildlife Park it is possible to photograph Wolf, Lynx, Wolverine and so on.

The coastline of Troendelag can be challenging for a photographer. From the spectacular winter-light to snow blizzard, calm falling snow and even rainy days. This is what nature is like here.

As photgraphers we love challenges and the nature of Flatanger can provide a big variety of such.

Many people believe there is no proper daylight in Troendelag during winter. That is not the case; during the shortest days of the year it is still possible to take daylight pictures a few hours.

On a clear starry night we might see the amazing Aurora Borealis dancing across the sky. It is a priceless sight.

So what are the opportunities?  Here is a list of some of the species we can observe:
